The going gets tough in the Two Marks pack. Landry, Wade, and Caitlyn have to figure out their relationship as she is human and it's not as easy. I love the connection and references to the Wolf Ranch and this story seems to be leading up to more drama and suspense and I can’t wait for more. The chemistry is off the charts and the kink thrown in only adds to the connection they all share.

Overall I enjoyed the read. It took me a few chapters to get into it. I think that this is because the beginning of the story, compared to other books of Vanessa Vale’s, is somewhat repetitive. I’ve read most of her books and a lot of them have this type of ménage theme: Two men who normally share a woman, see one they want. She’s new to ménage relationships (let’s not forget spankings) and it takes a lot of twists and turns to solve a mystery, and accept & settle into the lifestyle. This particular story has the wolf shifter element, but the theme is the same. If this was one of the first books I’ve read by Vanessa Vale, I would give it four stars, which in the end I have. But because I’ve read a lot of her books, I have to say that I’m now becoming reluctant to read more. I really miss the style that this particular author exhibited in her “Small Town Romance” (Montana) series!!! IT was absolutely fabulous! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Tempted is the newest cowboy PNR series by the writing duo of Renee Rose and Vanessa Vale and it was pure entertainment. Caitlyn and Wade are great fated mates and their chemistry kept me tapping those pages. And I loved that Caitlyn is a wolf biologist. So cool. The suspense element that runs through the story was compelling and I could feel Caitlyn’s anguish, as well as her desire to make things right. Wade is the right mix of strong alpha male and no idea what he’s doing. And their smexy times are hawt in all the right ways, which is expected with these authors. This is a great start to a new series and I’m looking forward to reading more. Very much recommended.
